For Teams & Academies

Give your families the pathway education they're already asking for.

Every season, parents corner your staff with the same questions about NCAA, U.S. college hockey and what to do next. PrepRoom College gives your organization a planning partner who can answer those questions and help families understand their next steps.

Why teams and academies partner with us

Families want answers you shouldn't have to give

Recruiting rules, NCAA eligibility, timing, school choices — your staff isn't there to be a college advisor. We are.

Clear information supports families

Families get practical answers about academics, eligibility and timing — and your program keeps its focus on student development.

It's a real differentiator

Programs that invest in family education stand out. It signals that you take the long view, not just the current season.

What we offer

Three ways to work together.

Season kickoff

Family info session

A practical 60–75 minute session for parents on the NCAA and U.S. college hockey pathway — how it actually works, what grade-level timelines look like, and the questions worth asking early.

In-person or virtual · Full team / age group

Deeper dive

Parent workshop series

A multi-session workshop for families across a season — pathway fundamentals, decision points by grade, and open Q&A. Ideal for programs that want ongoing education, not a one-off.

3–4 sessions · Virtual

Ongoing partnership

Advisory partnership

PrepRoom provides ongoing pathway education for your organization. Families get a clear planning resource; your staff gets support with college-related questions.

Annual · Custom scope

How it works

01

Intro conversation

Short call with your GM, director or coaching staff to understand your program and families.

02

Right-sized scope

We recommend the format — one session, a workshop series, or a full partnership — that fits your season and audience.

03

Deliver & support

We run the sessions with your families and stay available as a planning resource through the season.

Our commitment to your program

We are not agents. We are not scouts. We are not recruiting your students.

We help families understand academic requirements, eligibility, timing and university fit. Our sessions provide practical information and space for the questions your families are asking.

Questions schools and programs ask us

Will you try to steer our students elsewhere?

No. We're not recruiting for anyone. Pathway advice is grounded in what's right for each family — and staying exactly where they are is very often the right answer.

Do you share family info back to our staff?

No. Family conversations stay confidential. We can share aggregate themes ("a lot of Grade 10 families are asking about X") to help your program, never individual details.

How much does a partnership cost?

It depends on scope — a single info session is very different from an ongoing advisory partnership. We'll scope it in the intro call.

Can you speak to just our staff, not families?

Yes. We also do staff briefings — on the NCAA / U.S. college athletics landscape for athletic programs, or on merit-based admissions and scholarship trends for academic staff — so your team can point families in the right direction without becoming college advisors yourselves.

Do you charge our school, or the families you work with?

Free family info sessions are available. Staff briefings and ongoing advisory support are scoped to your organization's needs; we'll discuss the format and cost before you commit. Families can choose whether to pursue personalized planning support.

Bring clear pathway education to your program.

Start with a short intro conversation. We'll listen, then recommend the format that actually fits your organization and your season.
